Overview
A tropical renovation opening the house to climate, light and landscape, culminating in a rooftop terrace above Karma Beach.
The renovation of Villa Melasti explores the idea of open tropical living, where architecture is closely connected to both climate and landscape. A redesigned layout makes the space more functional and comfortable, while natural materials create a calm, tactile environment.
Ground Floor
The ground floor brings the kitchen, living and dining areas together into a single open-plan space that extends onto a covered outdoor terrace — dissolving the boundary between inside and out.
Light & Landscape
On the second level, large openings fill the interior with natural light and strengthen the connection to the surrounding landscape. Cross-ventilation and shade do the work that mechanical systems would otherwise carry.
Rooftop
The composition culminates in a rooftop terrace with panoramic ocean views, located just a short walk from Karma Beach.
